    For hoodness sake

To keep myself awake while waiting for Chris' hood pics and after a leaping shrimp nearly sent mrs tester into orbit (landed right next to her on kitchen work top while surfing on laptop ) I thought it was time to get on with my own. This is what it looked like yesterday morning.

Thanks again kate. The black frame you can see is made from 6mm exterior grade plywood. You can see it in the 1st pic before it was painted. The light box cover and feeding hatch have not been sprayed yet but will also be black.

    Rear view ..... ooh err

Thanks James. The table saw is the best bit of kit I ever bought. It makes stuff like this a doddle. I'm not happy with the glossy finish so am going to rub it down & spray satin. It won't be finished for over a week as I've got to wait for the 2 pieces of toughened, polished glass I've ordered to form a watertight lamp compartment. For the time being it's running with the arcpod.

Much nicer than mine (just a plywood box! ) Looking forward to the finished setup, where did you order the glass from? What lights you plan to run?

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Thanks Chris.

Mine's just a plywood box too

I've ordered the glass from a place in the next village along from where I live. He said he'd phone me on Friday with deffinate cost and delivery time. He didn't So I've heard there's a place in loughborough that can do it. I'll give them a try on monday.

Light wise .......... eerrrrrrr......... yet to be decided but I'm already over my £10 budget !!!!!!!!!
