you'll have to put up with me...coz i'm the only one here
I've just bought a Eheim classic 250, talking to people on a facebook site everyone seems very pleased with Eheim.
are you looking to change brands ? at the moment i'm running two fluvals 206 and a 306

Nice arse guess you will have to put up with me as well. I do like the eheim and as I have not had any problems with mine I will probably stick with it. But thought I would broaden my options. Just looked at the eheim 250 not big enough only does up to 250 ideally. My vision is the 260. Are those fluvals all internal I am sure I used to have those

So a eheim 250 is for a 250 ltr tank. my current cannister is foor a max of 230ltr tank. it has faired well for many a moon and done a good job. But as the vision 260 is (go on guess how many litres) yes 260 ltrs well done, is it always best to get the closest to your max or over do it by lots.
I presume what we are looking at is the bigger the filter the faster the flow rate and the more water movement. My slimmy buggers are not generally a fast water fish

So we have eheim 250, 350, 600 what ya reckon for a vision 260 then?

Fluval ones probably do a good job but eheim look prettier :-)

Fluval are ok and i've used them for as long as i can remember, priming can be a pain.
with one Eheim internal filter shut away in the shed somewhere, and that thing makes
the tank like a washing machine .
could you use the 600 but defuse the water somehow....spray bar...
or am i completely off here,as the knowledge i have on filters could leave space on a stamp !
